Exostemtech Selected for National Project to Develop a Pre-Filled Needle-Free Injection Device for Exosome Therapeutics

Exosome-specialized biotech venture Exostemtech (CEO YongWoo Cho) announced on November 1 that it has been selected as the lead organization for the “Advanced Manufacturing Technology for Global Expansion of Convergent Bio-Medical Products” project, supervised by the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT). The project will run until December 2028 with a total budget of 5.4 billion KRW.

Exostemtech will form an international consortium with Medikan (CEO HeeYoung Lee), Hanyang University (Prof. HyoJong Yoo), Uijeongbu St. Mary’s Hospital of the Catholic University of Korea (Prof. SeokJoong Kim), and Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School (Prof. HyungSun Lim) to carry out the national R&D project for the development of a “needle-free injection device pre-filled with exosome therapeutics for the treatment of inflammatory diseases.” Humedix and Pharmgen Science will participate as demand-side partners.
