Exostemtech and Medikan Sign Joint Research Agreement on Stem Cells and Exosomes

“Exostemtech Pursues Expansion into Saudi Arabia… Medikan Participating in Saudi-Korea Industrial Complex Project

Exostemtech (CEO YongWoo Cho) announced on the 18th that it has signed a joint research and development (R&D) agreement with Medikan (CEO HeeYoung Lee) in the fields of stem cells and exosomes, and is now pursuing entry into Saudi Arabia.

A representative from Exostemtech stated, “The two companies signed an MOU in January last year for the development of a system for stem cell isolation, culture, and exosome production, and have since devoted extensive efforts to joint R&D in these areas,” adding, “With Medikan’s recent expansion into Saudi Arabia, Exostemtech is now moving forward together to tap into the Middle Eastern market.”

Through this collaboration, the two companies plan to establish systems for the isolation, culture, and production of stem cells and exosomes within the bio-plant facilities of an industrial complex in Saudi Arabia. Based on this infrastructure, they aim to accelerate the establishment of a global stem cell and exosome-based refractory disease treatment center, as well as an anti-aging treatment center.
